FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY:
The incumbent is responsible for representing KukerRanken (KR) in the and selling designated survey and engineering products, software, and services to new and existing customers in a defined region. The successful candidate will need to have an active and collaborative approach to customer management. S/he is expected to come up with creative ways to exceed sales targets and maximizing sales in the assigned region.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
This position is responsible for exploring and providing solutions and services to the Architectural, Engineering, Construction, Survey Equipment markets in Boise. These solutions will be primarily focused on the LeicaGeosystems workflow, Laser Technology products lines along with a number of other mapping solutions, and a focus on Unmanned Aircraft (drones) systems for survey/AEC.
- RETAIL & CORPORATE SALES
- Develop new customers and maintain existing customer base
- Coordinate regular field sales activities including prospecting and lead generation
- Identify, qualify, and close opportunities with existing and new clients and customers
- Develop new customers and maintain existing customer base
- Represent, market, demonstrate and sell high-end survey products and related services to the surveying and engineering market (to existing and new clients)
- Sell and provide 1st tier technical support of these solutions
- Research and promote the best geospatial solutions available based on the needs of these customers
- Provide pre-sales consultation services to determine the hardware and software solutions that best fit the customers’ requirements and applications
- Meet or exceed designated quarterly and yearly sales targets as well as develop forecast reports to be provided on a monthly basis
- Partner with the broader sales and technical team to help support customers and generate new business.
- OTHER DUTIES
- Participate in marketing, advertising and other promotional activities that are required for the region, such as email/direct mail campaigns, road shows, open house events, etc.
- Attend and exhibit various trade shows, conferences and seminars within the designated territory to promote the KukerRanken brand and survey solutions
- Become and stay up-to-date on competitive solutions and how to sell the features, benefits and value of the Leica Geosystem solutions when in competitive sales situations
- Business travel will be approximately 30-50%, with periodic overnight stays required. The ideal candidate would reside in Boise, Idaho or willing to relocate to the territory. Out of state travel may be required on an occasional basis.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to develop a plan for the territory and work the plan aggressively
- A strong understanding of, and experience with, Total Stations, Robotic Total Stations, MultiStations, GNSS Receivers, Field Data Collectors/software, Digital Levels, Drones, and Office Processing Software is preferred
- Experience with Leica Geosystems survey products are preferred, but not required
- A Licensed Professional Surveyor is optimal, but not required
- A strong aptitude for technology, sales, communication and presentation skills
- Ability to network, technically present and develop unrecognized client potentials
- Must be self-motivated, goal oriented and relationship driven
- Deal with customers and employees in a positive, proactive manner
- Good time-manager with ability to multi-task, self-prioritize and meet deadlines
- Work independently, self-motivated
- Likes to learn and is open to continuous feedback
Qualifications
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in surveying, engineering or other related geospatial fields OR jobsite experience with construction management, measurement, and data capture.
- 3 – 5 years similar work experience in sales or technical background related to GIS and utilities industry
- Experience with Leica Geosystems survey products are preferred, but not required
- A strong understanding of, and experience with, Total Stations, Robotic Total Stations, MultiStations, GNSS Receivers, Field Data Collectors/software, Digital Levels, drones and Office Processing Software is preferred
- Must be proficient with standard Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) as well as CRM applications
- A two or four degree from a technical institution or accredited college. An emphasis on surveying, civil engineering or a related field is a significant plus for any successful candidate. However, work experience will be considered.
