Welcome to the Sundance Media Instructor Rating Course
Being an instructor is much more than simply being able to competently fly uncrewed aircraft. Teaching others is a learned skill, and in this Instructor Rating Course, we provide Instructor Candidates with methods, tools, and techniques to create the most impactful lessons available in our industry today.
This course is designed for those who want to excel at training new uncrewed pilots, develop training curricula, and we’ll learn the “whole/part/whole” method of breaking down processes to their most minimal form for maximum success as an instructor, and student.
During this four day course, Instructor Candidates will build out a series of training modules designed to instill skills, values, and understanding of why and how we fly the way we do, following industry standards, best practices, and forward-looking training enabling students to more critically “think” through their flight and decision-making processes. Instructor Candidates will work with real students during the evaluation portions of the class.
This course includes pre-course testing, in-course, and post-course testing which demonstrates growth and gained skills from the program.
Successful candidates will receive certificates of achievement, logging a successful 40 hours of instruction and testing to standard.
