The American Association of Airport Executives is pleased to present the 2017 Unmanned Aircraft Systems Integration Conference. The event will take place December 4-6, 2017, in Los Angeles, California at the Hilton Universal City.

Today’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) industry is sophisticated and rapidly advancing. The landscape is evolving, with many technological, regulatory and talent obstacles being surmounted, investment surging, and a growing number of industries quickly scaling their use. The conference will bring together industry leaders to examine potential strategies for the aviation community to integrate UAS into the airspace and for businesses to integrate them into their operations. We will review recent changes and those on the horizon. In bringing all stakeholders together, we aim to better understand today’s best practices and proactively lay the groundwork for new ones that facilitate future mobility models.

Widespread private use of UAS is already here, and we will hear from industries with some of the largest and most promising plans and pilot programs. These insights will be critical to aviation leaders in crafting their perspectives and designing strategies to integrate UAS into the airspace safely and efficiently. McKinsey & Company will present research on the future of UAS in the medium and long-term, including the outsized role they are expected to play in Smart Cities.

Our hope is that the conference provides an open forum for dialogue and an opportunity for all stakeholders who will be affected by UAS integration to collaborate and develop a shared vision for the future of UAS and what it will take to get there. Attendees will include leaders from the manned and unmanned aviation industries, commercial, public and recreational UAS operators, new players that are adopting UAS, senior government officials, technology providers, and investors.
